Established in 1927 by a group of independent retailers in Alberta, Associated Grocers was born and had a modest start in meeting the needs of its co-operative group.
Over the years, the company has expanded and evolved to service the needs of a rapidly changing and competitive grocery wholesaling environment and retail landscape.
Today, Associated Grocers is the leading grocery wholesaler in Western Canada serving independent retail locations in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan out of their three distribution centers.
In 1989, the Jim Pattison Group purchased Associated Grocers and is a division of the Pattison Food Group Ltd, a privately-owned company in Western Canada. Pattison Food Group is 100% Canadian Owned and Operated.
Associated Grocers is the leading wholesale grocery supplier in Western Canada and currently services over 650 Independent Grocers. AG’s core values are quality, integrity, and a commitment to total customer satisfaction.
