Established in 1927 by a group of independent retailers in Alberta, Associated Grocers was born and had a modest start in meeting the needs of its co-operative group.
Over the years the company has expanded and evolved to service the needs of a rapidly changing and competitive grocery wholesaling environment and retail landscape.
Today, Associated Grocers is the leading grocery wholesaler in Western Canada serving independent retail locations in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan out of our three distribution centers.

In 1989, the Jim Pattison Group of Companies purchased Associated Grocers and is today a division of Pattison Food Group and the leading wholesale grocery supplier in Western Canada to over 650 Independent Grocers.
